My 2012 Nissan Xterra had a rear-end problem. After moving to 33-inch tires, I added a Wilco Offroad hitch-mounted spare tire carrier. It solved one problem but created another. The factory hitch hung low, the carrier killed my departure angle and my license plate was basically living on borrowed time. So in this episode, I install a weld-it-yourself rear bumper kit from Coastal Offroad, get help from my pal Roman Marquez at Roman Strength, coat the bumper in Raptor liner, make at least one very avoidable mistake and then take the Xterra into the desert to see if the new setup actually fixes the problem. The bumper itself ended up looking incredible. The receiver hitch? Well… mistakes were made. This is not a sponsored video. Coastal Offroad gave me a 20% discount on the bumper kit, but all opinions are my own. I paid for the bumper, fabrication, coating and everything else in this build. Huge thanks to Roman Marquez for the welding/fabrication help.
