Memories of Bescot

My first memory of Bescot was in the early 60s when steam was still plentiful. The Sunday Simmer was still a sight to be reckoned with the shed and the yard filled with LMS freight locomotives but Brits, Scots, Patriots and Jubilees were there as well. Unfortunately, I did not possess a camera in those days so this video concentrates on the last 40 years but the amount of change in this time is staggering with the liveries, the locomotives and the type of freight mainly gone and so too have the locomotive sheds. However the yards remain tact which is a remarkable achievement. Hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane.
