Why should God’s people praise Him? Psalm 33 directs our attention away from ourselves and towards the glorious character of the God we worship. His Word is true, He is faithful in all He does, He loves righteousness and justice, and the earth is full of His steadfast love. He created the heavens by His powerful Word, sovereignly rules over the nations and keeps a watchful eye upon all who fear Him and hope in His mercy. In this sermon, we consider seven reasons why our God is worthy of joyful and wholehearted praise: His truthfulness, faithfulness, righteousness and justice, love, power, sovereignty, and watchful care over His people.
