#212 Offord Top Stream - Friday 28 Aug 2026

With some bait left over from my outing on Tuesday, and following some serious rain the previous day, I decided to try for perch on the Top Stream. There was some flow after the rain but the duckweed was still present in places. I set up just upstream of a duckweed blanket but there was nothing doing in the margin where I would normally fish. Casting out into the stream produced some bites and a few small fish. Unfortunately the freshening upstream wind became troublesome and started to push the duckweed into the area I was fishing. A short move upstream got me away from the weed and after a while I managed to tempt a couple of perch from close to the far bank. Then rain stopped play !!
