Luxome Layr Pillow Full Review: The Bad & The Good

The Luxome Layr Pillow: three interchangeable inserts, 100+ configurations, a genuine pillow system instead of a bag of fill with a zipper. The problem? The only insert that truly holds its shape all night is a solid slab of memory foam, the least "system-like" thing in the box. It scored a 7 on build quality and a 1 on thermoregulation. I bought the Luxome Layr myself on Amazon. Luxome did not sponsor this video. The quick and dirty of this review: this is a memory foam pillow wearing a very clever system, and it works for one person: someone who already loves memory foam and wants a firm, thick pillow they can dial in. Side sleepers: Only if you love firm memory foam. The firm insert supports your neck, but expect a "foam block" feel against your ear and cheek. Back sleepers: Conditional. The firm configuration keeps you aligned; the soft and medium inserts let your head drift as the fill wanders but in my opinion the loft is too high. Stomach sleepers: Skip it. This pillow shines when built firm and thick, which I believe is exactly what you don't need. Save your $160.
