Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas Alaska Northbound Cruise embarkation day Vancouver BC Ship tour

We've had this cruise booked for a while! We ended up flying into Seattle to visit my brother's family and spent a day there. We also had a one-way rental so we drove up the morning of early, went to Tim Hortons, dropped our car off at the airport and took the train downtown! It was pouring rain though so the 3 blocks were a little rough. Embarkation went well and soon we were on board and eating!!! We spent the first half hour on the ship wifi booking free IFly, Northstar and some show reservations. Then we did Northstar! And iFly! And roller skating! Finally we got to our room, my wife bid on and got us a balcony upgrade! I was looking forward to an interior room as it was Alaska around the solstice so always light, but the room got pretty dark so not a big deal. Then dinner, and my son wanted to run a mile every day so we did that on the track (which at that time was chaos as the weather got nice so everyone was just walking around). Also got into the fitness center! A nice first day!
