From a unique Thursday and Sunday special idly to different varieties of Maddur Vade, this Rajajinagar food tour has plenty of local flavours to discover! 1. Karigiri Refreshments We started our day at Karigiri Refreshments, a local favourite known for its special idly with soppina sambar dip, which is available every Thursday and Sunday. If you happen to visit late, especially around 11 AM, the place completely transforms into a sweet and savoury shop, making it an interesting spot to explore at different times of the day. Gayathri Tiffin Room Next, we visited Gayathri Tiffin Room, a place that is popular among locals for its simple, comforting and everyday eats. Here, we tried their Thursday special bread pulav, a unique dish that made for an interesting breakfast stop on our Rajajinagar food trail. Cucumber Cart After breakfast, it was time for something refreshing. We stopped at a cucumber cut masala cart run by a thatha, where we enjoyed a juicy, freshly cut cucumber topped with masala. Madduru Vah Day For our evening snack, we visited Madduru Vah Day, a unique cloud kitchen run entirely by women. As the name suggests, this place specialises in Maddur Vade and offers different varieties of this beloved Karnataka snack. It was definitely an interesting stop for anyone who loves crispy, freshly prepared Maddur Vade. Shanthala Ice Creams Finally, we ended our Rajajinagar food tour at the famous Shanthala Ice Creams.
