How Street Art Became Part of My Wellness

I love exploring cities to find street art and murals. Several years ago I spent sometime in my own backyard to shoot dozens of murals around Washington, DC. I wanted to revisit that experience. Locations are mentioned below. Some of the murals still exist today, but I fear that several don't. 01:33 – 8320 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD 01:39 – 14th and S Streets, NW 01:42 – 14th and U Streets, NW 01:54 – 14th and Newton Streets, NW 01:59 – Champlain Street at Kalorama Road, NW 02:11 – Calvert Street and Connecticut Avenue, NW 02:15 – Adam’s Morgan 18th Street, NW Art 02:35 –13th and U Streets, NW 02:41 – Ben’s Chili Bowl, U Street between 12th and 13th Streets, NW 03:12 – V Street near 12th Place, NW 03:18 – 11th and U Streets, NW 03:21 – 9th and U Streets, NW 03:25 – 636 Florida Avenue, NW 03:32 – 7th and Florida Avenue 03:36 – Georgia and Park Avenues, NW 03:44 – Georgia Avenue and Emerson Street, NW 03:50 – 7th and P Streets, NW 03:54 – S Street between 7th and 8th Streets, NW 04:03 – Blagden Alley boxed in by 9th and 10th Streets and M and N Streets 04:24 – 17th Street between Corcoran and Q Streets, NW 04:29 – 7th and Q Streets, NW 04:34 – 11th and Q Streets, NW 04:46 – Wisconsin Ave at Q Street, NW 04:51 – Wisconsin Ave (alley) between Dumbarton and O Streets, NW 04:55 – P Street at Wisconsin Avenue, NW 05:00 – Georgetown Four Seasons, Pennsylvania Ave and M Street, NW 05:04 – Eckington Parks & Arts/Alethia Tanner Park/Metropolitan Branch Trail (MBT) in NE 05:37 – Union Market Art in NE 06:05 – 13th and Wylie Streets, NE 06:09 – Atlas Performing Arts Center alley on H Street, NE at 13th Street 06:22 – Audi Field, First Street between S and T Streets, SW 06:31 – 516 8th Street, SE 06:33 – Good Hope Road and 17th Street, SE 06:43 – Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE between U and V Streets Learn more about: Latoya Peoples at https://www.latoyapeoples.com/ Muralist Aniekan Udofia • The Making of The CROWN Act Mural Candice Taylor’s Crown Act Mural at Busboys and Poets • The Making of The CROWN Act Mural The Beauty Behind Buzzard Point / 2542875289347804 #murals #washingtondc #streetart #kellywellwishes
