Why the Sheriff Warns Drivers Off Colorado's Black Bear Pass

Black Bear Pass above Telluride is a legal public road with no permit and no vehicle inspection, and the law only lets you drive it one way, which is down. The rock shelf narrows to about eight feet, and the first switchback is so tight that some vehicles need a five-point turn to get around it. The county sheriff has spent more than ten years telling people not to come. #blackbearpass #telluride #colorado #offroad
