You can be qualified, prepared and still feel dread when it is time to be seen. Sometimes uncertainty points to a genuine skill gap. But sometimes it is fear, a limiting belief or a self-image that has not caught up with what you can already do. In this video, I share what happened after I qualified as a British Sign Language interpreter and discovered that the qualification had changed my skills without automatically changing how I saw myself. We explore four places worth investigating before you assume another course is the answer, and the difference between useful preparation and protective preparation.
