We Left London for a 150-Year-Old Scottish Cottage. This Is the Calm Before the Storm. | Ep. 8

When you leave London for a cottage on the west coast of Scotland, you know a storm will find you eventually. This week Storm Boelo did. We’d got a tarp over the leaky porch roof just in time, but by morning a tree had come down across the track, which is the only road in and out of the cottage. In the calm before the storm, we managed to finally go antique hunting. We took a ferry “to the mainland”, browsed shops in Paisley and Glasgow, and drove out to one in Kilcreggan that turned out to be shut. Warehouse 4, Paisley Vintage and home decor furniture shop: lots to rummage through including cameras & other treasures.
