We played against Oklahoma State in our 2013 season opener when I was the Defensive Coordinator at Mississippi State. When you play a big opener like that, you got too much time to think about them. I was obsessed with that team. They were a dangerous offense, number one in the country and Mike Gundy could coach, man. We ended up holding them to 21 but still lost. I tell that story, because as I’m watching this Oklahoma State offense on tape, I got to think the DC’s they’re facing are feeling how I felt back then: tense, nervous, and vigilant. Cowboys are averaging 40.67 points per games against Power Four opponents. They’re SCORING and look like they might make a run at a Playoff spot. So, I’m going to kill two birds. I’m going to try to help those DCs out, and I’m going to see just how good this unit really is? How would I try to stop play caller Eric Morris, Drew Mestemaker, and this Oklahoma State offense? If you like this stuff, let me know with that thumbs up and by subscribing. We're going to be trying to get 1% better with these each week. We'd love it if you joined and became ONE of US. #OOU And let me know what y'all want broken down next!
