Cal-JAC Pre-Apprenticeship EMT & Paramedic Academies

The Cal-JAC Academies were developed for the purpose of providing individuals the opportunity to obtain skills and certifications necessary to take their first step toward a career in the fire service. After much success with EMT Academies in Sacramento and Los Angeles, Cal-JAC launched its first Paramedic Academy in Fall 2022. In Spring 2025, Cal-JAC established a hybrid Paramedic Academy to help promote working EMTs at partner departments.
