Family member Tarh Sonam has raised concerns over the delay in the post-mortem report of late Tarh Kekelele, saying the family had been given a seven-day timeline but the report has not yet been made available.
Sonam said the continued delay could raise further questions and urged the authorities to ensure a fair and transparent process in the case.
Clarifying the familyโs demands, he said the family has never called for the closure of the school. However, he stressed that the girlsโ hostel should remain sealed to prevent any possible tampering with evidence. He said the hostel was sealed by the police and urged that the seal should remain intact until the investigation and related proceedings are completed.
Sonam also appealed to parents and well-wishers to provide emotional and physical support to the bereaved family during the ongoing case.
He further said that no student union has so far formally extended support to the family and that the family has not yet sought wider public involvement. According to him, the matter is currently being pursued primarily through the Hiya Lumtey village community.
Sonam appealed to all concerned to cooperate with the investigation and called for a fair and transparent inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Tarh Kekeleleโs death.
