Authorised Entry Only — young writers build an immersive world you can walk into (summer club 2026)

What if children could step inside their own imagination? What if they weren't the subject of the story, but the architects of the space it lives in? Authorised Entry Only is what happened when we gave a group of young writers two weeks, a team of professional artists, and permission to build the world themselves. Over summer 2026, young participants worked with writers and artists to imagine, design and build an immersive storytelling environment — a space where writing became something physical, spatial, and performative. The children weren't contributors. They were the artistic authors of the work. The professional artists were there as collaborators and guides, helping the group realise what they'd imagined — but every story, every environment, every creative decision came from the imagination of the children themselves. The project began with a simple provocation: 🚪 WHAT WOULD IT FEEL LIKE TO STEP INSIDE A CHILD'S IMAGINATION? By the end of two weeks, the answer wasn't a thought experiment. It was a place you could walk into. 🏛️ Where: Oxenburys Yard, Bridport — immersive installation 📅 When: Summer 2026, two intensive weeks 🎓 Who: Young writers aged 9–14 from across West Dorset 💷 Cost: Free.
