Narayaneeyam – Dashakam 57: Pralambasura Vadha *Narayaneeyam* is a devotional Sanskrit work composed by *Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri**, consisting of 100 dashakams (cantatas). It presents the story and teachings of the **Srimad Bhagavata Purana* in poetic form, with each dashakam glorifying the divine manifestations and pastimes of Lord Krishna and concluding with prayers to the Lord of Guruvayur. *Dashakam 57 – Pralambasura Vadha* describes the delightful pastimes of Lord Krishna and Balarama in Vrindavan. One day, Krishna goes into the forest with Balarama, the Gopas, and the cows, showing them the beauty of Vrindavan. At the Bhandiraka banyan tree, the cowherd boys begin a playful game in which the losers carry the winners on their backs. Pralambasura, a demon intent on killing Krishna, enters the group disguised as a Gopa. Knowing the demon's true identity, Krishna nevertheless allows the game to continue. When Pralambasura is defeated, he carries Balarama away, but soon reveals his enormous demonic form. Balarama, recognizing the danger and becoming fearless, strikes Pralambasura with his mighty fist and destroys him. Krishna lovingly embraces Balarama, while the Devas rejoice and shower flowers upon the divine brothers. May the divine grace of *Lord Guruvayurappan* fill our hearts with devotion, courage, peace, and surrender. May the remembrance of Krishna and Balarama give us strength to overcome fear, deception, and obstacles on our spiritual journey. *#Narayaneeyam #Dashakam57 #PralambasuraVadha #Pralambasura #Krishna #Balarama #Guruvayurappan #Vrindavan #KrishnaLeela #Sanskrit #Bhakti #Devotional #Bhagavatam #GuruvayoorAppan* *Dedicated to Lord Guruvayur Appa Swamy.* 🙏🪷
