Hey everyone and I’m back with the other roundtrip during the big MagFest weekend. I will talk more about MagFest in the return leg to Largo. After a great afternoon ride along the 🔵Blue Line🔵, we took a ride out towards an area where I met some friends at a board game club during my stay at BroadFutures, Ashburn. Just like the previous roundtrip, we would be treated to great sights at IAD and we saw takeoffs and landings from various runways. We saw a United flight taking off towards Salt Lake City right in front of us as we were entering the IAD station which was really cool. The landing and takeoff path at IAD were facing right towards us this evening. But one thing that makes IAD really cool is two things. One thing is that towards the south side of the airport, there is the other Air and Space Museum that the DMV owns and this museum has a lot of old aircraft that are real and they have the Concorde aircraft in the museum too. It is a large hangar, but it isn’t visible from the line. The other thing that makes IAD cool is the terminal design. Its curved roof and glass are really cool looking and at night when it’s lit up, it’s pretty. The glass design kinda makes me think of Terminal C at EWR, but I digress. This was an enjoyable ride during PM Rush in the snow. So yeah, I hope you guys like this journey through Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia.
