What was supposed to be a routine 25km walk took an unexpected turn after a conversation with a Korean pilgrim, when I realized I had miscalculated the official remaining days! To stay on track with my schedule, I was left with only one choice: push today’s target to over 40 kilometers. From managing my swollen left leg and taping up the hole in my shoes, to walking completely alone on endless, quiet paths—I ended up pushing through for 11 hours and 40 minutes, covering a total of 42.5 km.
