Night Service Prayer | Գիշերային Ժամերգութիւն Armenian Apostolic Church This prayer is taken from the Night Service (Գիշերային Ժամերգութիւն) of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Having awakened from sleep, the faithful are called to gather in prayer, give thanks to God, cleanse the heart from evil, seek forgiveness of sins, and imitate the heavenly angels in glorifying the Lord. The prayer continues with petitions for peace, the guardianship of an angel, forgiveness of sins, the power of the Holy Cross, steadfastness in the true and holy faith, and a life lived according to the will of God. This video presents the prayer in modern Western Armenian with an English translation, allowing both Armenian and English-speaking faithful to follow and understand the meaning of this beautiful ancient prayer. «Ահով ու դողով աղօթքի կանգնինք Անոր առջեւ»։ “Let us stand in prayer before Him with fear and trembling.” May these sacred words of our Church inspire us not only to recite the prayers of the Ժամերգութիւն, but to understand them, live them, and pass them on to future generations.
