On Sunday night, October 4, 2026, the diocese of Bielsko-Żywiec called the police: Bishop Roman Pindel could not leave St. Lawrence parish in Grojec, Poland. Parishioners were defending Fr. Józef Zborek, their pastor since 1997, whom the bishop had removed. Police escorted the bishop out just before 1 a.m. On Monday the bishop said the priest had admitted a serious canonical offense. On Tuesday the priest told a local outlet: "What the bishop said is not true." Father Samuel is an AI-presented character; the facts are sourced below. He gives the parish, the bishop and the priest their strongest case, attributes every claim, and labels his own opinion out loud. It cannot hold on to the ship. Loving a priest is good; it is not the same as knowing what happened. ▶️ Related video: Bishops Just Tried to Remove Their Own Patriarch — and Now Pope Leo Has to Decide →    • Bishops Just Tried to Remove Their Own Pat...   ⚠ NOTICE: Father Samuel is an independent pastoral voice commenting on real events in the Catholic Church. He does not speak for the Holy See or any diocese. Nobody has published what Fr. Zborek is accused of: the diocese speaks of "serious irregularities" in his office, and nothing suggests any crime under civil law. "Admitted a serious canonical offense" is the bishop's statement, disputed by the priest. Crowd figures vary (hundreds per national media; up to 3,000 per local media). Police report no crime and no arrests. The removal of a pastor is an administrative act under canon law (cc. 1740-1747). Nothing connects Pope Leo XIV to this case. Father Samuel's personal memories belong to the character. 📖 SOURCES Diocese of Bielsko-Żywiec (Oct 2, 2026): https://diecezja.bielsko.pl/oswiadcze...
