The Name Odysseus Should Never Have Said

Odysseus, the cleverest hero in Greek mythology, sailed home from Troy with twelve ships and came home alone. This is the story of every trick that saved him in Homer's Odyssey: the Cyclops and the name Nobody, the bag of winds, the harbour of the giants, Scylla and the island of the sun, and what each escape cost the men beside him. Did his crew die of their own folly, as the poem's opening lines say, or of his? The only witness is Odysseus himself.
