Most traders use GEX levels and volume profile separately. In this video I show how I combine them into one A+ setup, and why I still wait for order flow before I take the trade. Everything is explained with simple analogies: → Volume profile = the GPS (where the market agreed on value) → GEX = the traffic report (where dealers are forced to react) → Order flow = the green light (heatmap, footprint, CVD) You'll learn: • How to read the auction with volume profile (POC, value area, HVN/LVN, balance vs imbalance) • RTH or ETH profile: which one to use and when • Positive vs negative gamma: shock absorbers vs trampoline • Gamma flip, call wall and put wall, and why the levels move during the day • Absorption, exhaustion and CVD divergence as confirmation • Real examples on Gold (GC) and Nasdaq (NQ), plus one of my MGC trades ⏱ Chapters 0:00 Friday 11:27: NQ hits the put wall 0:23 The idea: GPS, traffic report, green light 0:42 Reading the auction (volume profile) 1:38 RTH or ETH profile? 2:36 GEX: shock absorbers vs trampoline 3:48 Two witnesses: when GEX meets the profile 4:22 The green light: heatmap, footprint, CVD 5:12 Real trade examples 6:57 Risk + recap 📚 Research mentioned Baltussen, Da, Lammers & Martens (2021), "Hedging Demand and Market Intraday Momentum", Journal of Financial Economics GEX levels shown are from quanted
