I Escaped the Zombie Outbreak in a Snowcat Nobody Could Follow

DESCRIPTION: Cal Brody escapes the outbreak on Tamarack Ridge inside Number Four, a twelve-ton snowcat the infected cannot keep up with. After Mara Lindqvist discovers that the infected are following the machine’s sound, Cal, Mara, and Hollis Reyes begin leading them east along the ridge to keep them away from Silver Fork. Hollis is lost at Miner’s Gulch, and Cal later uses the Haverly Headwall to escape into the basin where the infected cannot follow him. When Cal realizes the stranded line is turning back toward Silver Fork, he returns through the Haverly rod and uses Number Four to pull part of the group away while Mara skis down to warn the town. Cal eventually keeps the remaining infected circling Tamarack Ridge for thirty-one hours until the National Guard arrives.
