Shaddo Band - The Ride - Original Song

The Ride is the title track from the album of the same name. It’s funny how helping someone else can sometimes make you stop and reflect on your own life. This song grew from something simple — enjoying a drive with a friend, sharing the road, talking, thinking, and taking in the moment — but it gradually became about much more than that. The Ride is about caring for someone close to you. About looking back at where you’ve been, recognising the obstacles you’ve faced, and still being able to feel pride in the journey. It’s about friendship, responsibility, reflection and the quiet happiness that can exist even when life hasn’t always taken the easiest route. Sometimes the destination matters. Sometimes it’s the person beside you. And sometimes, despite everything, you realise you’re still enjoying the ride. Original lyrics, concept and creative direction by Steve Crooks (Shaddo).
