Devils Tower, the Black Hills, and Spearfish Canyon — another stretch of my solo road trip through the Great Plains and Mountain West. From the striking rock formation of Devils Tower to the winding roads, rugged scenery, and natural beauty of the Black Hills and Spearfish Canyon, this part of the journey was about exploring at my own pace and seeing what I could discover along the way. Traveling solo means having the freedom to stop when something catches your eye, take the time to photograph a place, and follow the road wherever it leads. Not every moment goes according to plan, but sometimes the unexpected becomes part of the story.
