United States Navy P-8A Poseidon Aircraft on Temporary Duty RAF Mildenhall Take Offs and Landings.

Two P-8A Poseidon aircraft. 169334 from Naval Air Station Point Mugu, California and 169567 from Dallas Love Field, Texas spent well over a week on temporary duty at RAF Mildenhall, September 2026. They operated missions most days using the call signs COYOTE and SHINER, the latter of the two aircraft carrying the forty foot long Raytheon AN/APS-154 Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) radar pod underneath its fuselage. Equipped with both torpedoes and anti-ship missiles it is a formidable anti-submarine and anti-surface ship platform as well as conducting Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance and Search and Rescue operations.
