Wayne falls to Fairfield on the road to open up the season! (Full Game Highlights)

Wayne dropped their opener on the road last night as they fell to Fairfield 41-24. Turnovers and missed tackles plagued the Warriors as Fairfield’s QB Talon Fisher ran for over 200 yards and was named the player of the game. The Indians led 14-10 at the half, but Fisher found Isaiah Glover for 59 yards on the opening drive of the second half. Fairfield then recovered the ensuing kickoff and then went up 28-10. Wayne cut the deficit to 28-24 with 6 minutes left but the Indians were able to pull away late and survive with the Week 1 victory.
