Verify the assembled chamber geometry before the connections are finally released. Session 09/30 — Radiant Box Alignment. Survey the complete cylindrical radiant enclosure, correct geometry and lock the accepted shape before final connections and wall lining. WHAT THIS LESSON EXPLAINS • Define what the survey must protect • Use one reliable reference system • Check bearing and floor elevations • Verify column and wall verticality • Measure roundness at floor and arch levels • Confirm openings and connection orientation • Inspect shell edges and splice fit-up • Lock the accepted geometry for welding • Control geometry through final connections • Release a stable shell for wall lining PRACTICAL REVIEW CHECKS • Dimensional inspection sheet lists approved criteria before survey. • Control points, benchmark and drawing reference direction are confirmed. • Measurement stations and instrument records support repeat inspection. • Base and distributed floor elevations are recorded. • All column and required wall verticality points are checked. Training reference: field work requires approved drawings, method statements, permits, vendor instructions and inspection releases. Lifting, weld settings, test pressures, refractory mixing/curing/dryout values and purge/ignition settings must come from the approved equipment documents. Illustrations are explanatory and do not authorize field work. Audience: construction personnel, supervisors, inspectors, technicians and commissioning teams. #FiredHeater #OilAndGasConstruction #Commissioning
