Emirates A380 - Staircase Boarding | ILA Berlin 2026

Auf der Luftfahrtmesse ILA in Berlin war wieder der Emirates A380 zu Gast und man konnte den Riesenvogel aus nächster Nähe erleben! Besonders spannend: Hier konnte man den A380 so hautnah sehen, wie man es sonst nur von kleineren Flugzeugen kennt, die per Bus und Treppe auf dem Vorfeld boarden. Im regulären Passagierbetrieb war das beim A380 nie vorgesehen. Eine Ausnahme gab es nur bei der Boeing 747 auf einigen Flügen nach Mallorca. Für mich persönlich als Flugzeugliebhaber wäre das Treppenboarding ideal für alle Flüge auch mit den Großraumflugzeugen. Genau dieses intensive Gefühl – direkt vor dem gewaltigen Flugzeug zu stehen und die Treppe hinaufzugehen - wollte ich in diesem Video einfangen. Aus möglichst vielen Blickwinkeln, um die Dramatik und Größe des A380 richtig spürbar zu machen. Beim Boarding über die Schläuche (Jetbridge) ist man hingegen etwas „entkoppelt“ vom Flugzeug. Hier erlebt man die Maschine viel unmittelbarer. Toll war auch, dass die APU an war. Das hat die Atmosphäre nochmal gesteigert. Die Innenaufnahmen konnten hier nur kurz ausfallen, da das Flugzeug sehr gut besucht war und ruhige Aufnahmen dadurch schwierig wurden. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Emirates A380 was once again on display at the air show ILA in Berlin, and visitors had the chance to experience this giant bird up close! What made it especially exciting was that visitors could see the A380 up close in a way that’s usually only possible with smaller aircraft, which board via a bus and stairs on the tarmac. This was never intended for the A380 during regular passenger operations. The only exception was the Boeing 747 on some flights to Mallorca. For me personally, as an aviation enthusiast, boarding via stairs would be ideal for all flights, even on wide-body aircraft. It was precisely this intense feeling—standing right in front of the massive aircraft and walking up the stairs—that I wanted to capture in this video. From as many angles as possible, to really bring home the drama and sheer size of the A380. When boarding via the jet bridges, on the other hand, you feel somewhat “disconnected” from the aircraft. Here, you experience the aircraft much more directly. It was also great that the APU was running. That really added to the atmosphere.
