Spain has finished 10th seven times at Eurovision (most recently in 2014), more than any other country. There is no official 10th place for eleven of the contests – 1956, 1958, 1959, 1967, 1969, 1970, 1974, 1978, 1983, 1989, and 2005. In 1956 only the winner, Switzerland, was announced. In 1958, 1959, 1969, 1974, 1978, 1983, 1989, and 2005, two songs shared 9th place by achieving the same number of points.
