The Prayer of Faith Larry G Truitt

The Prayer of Faith | Larry G. Truitt In a little country church, a man bows his head as he is anointed with oil. A hand rests on his shoulder, and those gathered around him call upon the Lord. That quiet scene is at the heart of “The Prayer of Faith,” a country gospel song inspired by James 5:14–16. I wrote this song to encourage those who are sick or weary to ask for prayer, and to remind the church what a tender ministry it is to pray for one another. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is draw up a chair, take someone by the hand, and bring their need before the Lord. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” — James 5:16 (KJV)
