തിരുവനന്തപുരം തലസ്ഥാന മേഖലയുടെ ഗതാഗതവികസന രംഗത്ത് നിര്‍ണായക വഴിത്തിരിവാകുന്ന വിഴിഞ്ഞം നാവായിക്കുളം ഔട്ടര്‍ റിംഗ് റോഡ് പദ്ധതിക്ക് കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രിസഭയുടെ അന്തിമ അനുമതി ഉടന്‍ ലഭിക്കുമെന്ന് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍. കേന്ദ്ര പരിസ്ഥിതി മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെ പരിസ്ഥിതി അനുമതി പദ്ധതിക്ക് ലഭിച്ചതോടെ നിര്‍മാണ തടസ്സങ്ങള്‍ നീങ്ങി അന്തിമ അനുമതിയ്ക്കായി ഫയല്‍ കേന്ദ്ര ഉപരിതല ഗതാഗത മന്ത്രാലയത്തില്‍ എത്തിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. Reports suggest that the Vizhinjam–Navayikulam Outer Ring Road project, which is expected to bring a major transformation to the transport infrastructure of the Thiruvananthapuram capital region, is likely to receive final approval from the Union Cabinet soon. With the project receiving environmental clearance from the Union Ministry of Environment, the hurdles to construction have been cleared. The proposal has now reached the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for final approval.
