Train Ride through Rural Landscape | Akita, Japan - Nairiku Line, Driver's View

Driver's eye view riding a one car train on the Nairiku Line from Kakunodate Station to Takanosu Station in Akita, Japan. This line passes through a number of small villages and through tunnels along the Hinokinai River valley. In a few of the fields farmers create rice field art, also known as tanbo art. I wasn't able to catch all of them, but I added a few side views of the characters in the latter half of the ride. 01:22:04 Crayon Shin-Chan 01:29:19 Nairikkun, mascot of the train line 02:02:43 Jomon-Ogata Art This was my first attempt at a train ride and there were a few issues, as there often are when trying something new. Early on the sun was low and my camera had trouble with the exposure so I had to cut five minutes or so from the ride. Also when entering when entering the tunnels there were a few blasts of the horn but it seems to have overloaded my audio recorder. I replaced the silence for 5-10 seconds at the beginning of each tunnel, so try to imagine 3-4 toots. I'll see if I can improve on those issues for the next train journey.
