The Make Noise 0-CTRL is one of my favorite mini sequencers; it's so expressive and fun to use with the Moog Studio. I often patch it into the DFAM to control velocity, decay, and noise level or the filter, and sometimes to reset the Subharmonicon's 4-step sequencer to add some randomness. You can get some pretty cool rhythms when you change the length of Sequencers’ steps on the fly or even the start point by touching any step's individual touch plates. You can also plug a patch cable in to any step to set the range of steps or playback direction. It’s a real hands-on, performance-oriented sequencer. It's all done by feel, with very little visual feedback. It keeps you very engaged and offers a less rigid workflow than using the built-in sequencers on the Moog’s. I'd love it if Make Noise made a larger 0-CTRL with more modulation lanes and maybe 16 steps. But that being said, it's very much perfect as it is. I'd love to own a few more someday.
