1954 Gibson BR-9 Tube Amp Demo

Produced from 1948-1955ish, this little amp was bundled with a student model lap steel of the same name. Pushing 10 very inefficient watts through a pair of 6v6s, this is a great small amp for playing around the house (spouses and animals may disagree with this statement), and records nicely as well. Fun fact: the 8” speaker has no magnet, and uses a field coil, instead. Though this demo features my sloppy take on some old school honky tonk country, the BR-9 has more uses than that. I mean, you could probably record Layla or Communication Breakdown on it.
