When the Sith Conquered Coruscant In the Old Republic

The Sacking of Coruscant was one of the most devastating defeats in the history of the Galactic Republic. During the Great Galactic War, Darth Malgus led a brutal Sith Empire assault on the Republic capital, bringing war directly to the heart of the galaxy. As Sith forces overwhelmed Coruscant’s defenses, Malgus stormed the Jedi Temple, slaughtering its defenders and leaving the ancient sanctuary in ruins. In this Star Wars Legends breakdown, we explore how the Sith orchestrated their surprise invasion, the fall of the Jedi Temple, Darth Malgus’s role in the destruction, and how the Sith Empire brought the mighty Galactic Republic to its knees, forever changing the course of galactic history.
