Hot Fudge Pudding Cake
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp melted salted butter
1 sq. (1 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate, melted
1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 3/4 cup boiling water
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix milk, butter, and melted
chocolate; add to the dry ingredients. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 9 or 7 x 11-inch
pan. Use your fingers to mix brown sugar and cocoa, then sprinkle over the batter. Pour boiling water evenly
over the top (do not stir). Bake for 45 minutes. Cut into squares, then scoop out the sauce from the bottom of the
pan and pour it over each serving. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
