Travail - Pastor Tumelo Mushi

This is part 6 of The Spirit of Prayer. In this message Pastor Tumelo Mushi opens Romans 15 to show us that the spirit of prayer is the gateway into the deeper things of God. The mind of Christ is available to every believer but it must be renewed. God does not intend for us to only know the introduction. The Holy Spirit was sent to reveal what the natural mind cannot access. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12 that he was caught up into the third heaven, whether in the body or out of the body he could not tell, and he heard things so unspeakable that he was not permitted to share them. John in the book of Revelation heard the seven thunders utter their voices and when he was about to write the Spirit of the Lord told him to seal up what the seven thunders had said and not write it down. There are mysteries in Christ that go beyond what has been written. Depths that belong to those who press in through prayer. Paul declared in Romans 11 that the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God are unsearchable and His ways are past finding out. But the spirit of prayer is the invitation to keep searching. As a people who are prayerful God begins the conversations. He starts the dialogue and we are drawn deeper into the unsearchable mysteries of Christ. The spirit of prayer is not only for intercession. It is the place where God reveals purpose, unlocks revelation and takes the believer beyond the surface of what they already know into the depths of who He truly is.
