Date: August 30th, 2026 I discovered this area about 5 years ago on Google Earth and I finally got to see it! I headed deep into the BC backcountry to explore a set of forgotten mine roads that somehow still exist. After driving the forest service road into the mountains, I reached my planned camp spot but, what once was a lake was no longer, so I set up at another one of the small lakes in the area. I unloaded the Talaria Komodo and went out exploring! From camp, I dirt biked up the Perkins Peak Mine Road, climbing all the way to the top of the ridge. The views were unreal with wide open alpine terrain. I sent the drone to capture the ridge from above before dropping back down toward the alpine lake at the base of the peak. After a quick FPV lake surf session, I rode back to camp, relaxed with a word-search puzzle, wandered around filming rabbits, and soaked in the quiet nature around me. If you enjoy old mine roads, Talaria dirt bike adventures, FPV mountain surfing, and remote BC backcountry exploration, you will like this one! 3:44 Miner Lake FSR 9:48 Perkins Peak Mine Road 31:43 Back at camp Camera gear: GoPro Hero 9&13 GoPro M1P DJI Air 3s DJI FPV Drone Sony A6700 Sony 18-105 lens Sigma 100-400mm lens Freewell ND Filters, GoPro & Urth ND Filters Music: Beartooth - I was Alive Mark Petrie - Instigator
