Design Spot "BIM and Hospital Design"

This design spot is about "BIM & Hospital Design". BIM is an acronym for the Building Information Modeling. The BIM design spot is made up of parts. In the first part, we will talk about the history and major events of the Building Information Modeling “BIM”. Then, in the second part, a general overview of BIM will be made. This will include: BIM definition, BIM digital model, BIM data and information, owners’ benefits and other points. The third part will cover the 5 BIM scopes: 3D geometry, 4D time, 5D money, 6D sustainability and 7D facility management. Finally, we will watch videos concerning the BIM applications in hospital design. The first video will cover the clash detection between different hospital systems during the design process. The second video will be about 4D & 5D BIM application during the construction in a large complex hospital.
