Prestressed Concrete Design - 10 - Design for Shear (updated 3/18/20)

This is a video lecture for Prestressed Concrete Design. This video goes through the general design procedure for shear using ACI 318-19 (Simplified and Detailed procedures) and AASHTO LRFD (2017). Two non-traditional shear failures are also introduced: horizontal shear and shear induced by anchorage failure. Bursting and splitting reinforcement requirements are also discussed. This video has corrected AASHTO LRFD shear equations compared to the older version of this presentation.
