Most skills programs stall on the data. Red Hat fixed that first.
In this webinar, Tomislav Vujec, Director of Learning at Red Hat, explains how Red Hat became a skills-first organization with TechWolf. It started with a 2,500-person engineering pilot and grew to skill profiles for more than 99% of its roughly 17,000 associates. He then shows how Red Hat uses that data in learning, internal mobility, and role redesign.
What’s covered:
— Going from 5 self-entered skills per profile to 21 validated ones, with close to half of associates validating their profile in the first three months
— Building skill profiles for around 1,400 jobs, which business leaders in the pilot rated at 87.5% precision and 95.4% recall
— Why only associates validate their own skills, and why Red Hat launched without proficiency levels
— Cleaning up a taxonomy full of duplicate custom skills, and getting works councils on board
— What’s next: adaptive learning, better internal gig matching, more data sources (Jira, GitHub, Salesforce) and using the TechWolf agent for continuous work redesign
Speakers:
— Tomislav Vujec, Director of Learning at Red Hat and Head of Role Skills Development at IBM
— Julius Schelstraete, Customer Community Lead at TechWolf (host)
