A fly brain map is online. Developers connected models based on fly neural wiring to Doom, Minecraft, Beat Saber and even a cryptocurrency trading experiment. Did we put a living mind inside a computer, or are these videos showing something very different?
00:00 A fly gets a digital life
00:42 A nervous system you can download
01:58 What the map contains
03:14 Turning a network into a player
04:29 The test that changes the story
05:38 Minecraft and Beat Saber
07:15 Giving the fly a trading account
08:40 A body inside the computer
09:51 A prediction tested on living flies
10:59 Could anything inside it feel?
12:00 What is really playing?
We follow the demonstrations, explain how the models work and examine the developers' own limitations. A connectome is a map of connections, not proof that consciousness has been uploaded.

StonkFly's default setup uses paper trades. These demonstrations do not establish profitable learning, consciousness or the transfer of a living fly into a computer.
