Our Hong Kong adventure continues! 🌆✨ In this episode, we take you along to one of the most iconic attractions in Hong Kong — Victoria Peak! From figuring out the MTR system and recharging our travel card to riding the famous Peak Tram and witnessing breathtaking views of Hong Kong’s skyline, this day was full of exciting first-time experiences. MTR CARD RECHARGE – GETTING READY TO EXPLORE HONG KONG We start our day by recharging our Octopus travel card, one of the most convenient ways to pay for public transport in Hong Kong. The card makes travelling around the city easier, whether you’re taking the MTR, buses or trams. We get ready to navigate the city like locals and head towards our next destination! 2.⁠ ⁠HOW TO REACH THE PEAK TRAM STATION BY MTR Our next stop is Victoria Peak! We take the MTR towards Central and make our way to the Peak Tram Lower Terminus on Garden Road. From Central MTR Station, Exit H is a useful starting point, followed by a walk of approximately 10–15 minutes to the tram station. 3.⁠ ⁠THE FAMOUS PEAK TRAM EXPERIENCE One of the most exciting parts of our day was experiencing the historic Peak Tram. This iconic funicular railway takes visitors up the hillside towards Victoria Peak, offering a unique perspective of Hong Kong’s towering buildings and green landscapes. The steep ascent makes the ride an experience in itself — and it’s a must-try attraction for first-time visitors! PLANNING YOUR VISIT? PEAK TRAM TICKETS You can purchase Peak Tram tickets online or at the ticket counter. If you plan to visit Sky Terrace 428 as well, check the combined ticket options. Travel tip: Check the latest ticket prices and available combinations before booking. Online tickets may have a specific date or time slot, so confirm the details before completing your purchase. Peak Tram Tip: If you’re stuck in the middle of the crowd, we suggest waiting for the next tram (if permitted by staff). Try to grab the first two front seats for the ultimate experience! The steep climb and stunning views feel even more exciting from the front. 1.⁠ ⁠⁠1. LIONS PAVILION – A BEAUTIFUL VIEWPOINT After reaching the Peak, we explore Lions Pavilion, a popular spot for taking in the Hong Kong skyline. It’s a lovely place to pause, enjoy the scenery and capture photographs of the city surrounded by lush green hills. 1.⁠ ⁠SKY TERRACE – HONG KONG FROM ABOVE Next, we visit Sky Terrace 428, an observation deck located 428 metres above sea level. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and Victoria Harbour. The sweeping skyline, towering skyscrapers and harbour views make this one of the highlights of a Victoria Peak visit. Whether you’re a photography lover or simply want to enjoy the city from a different perspective, this place deserves a spot on your itinerary.
