Cheap car mods that actually make your car faster, and none of them is a bolt-on power part. Acceleration is force divided by mass, and every catalog sells the top of that fraction. This video is about the bottom half: the weight you are hauling for no reason, why a pound off the wheel is worth several anywhere else, where your engine picks up its air, the restrictions already on your car, the hot air trapped under the hood, and the spinning weight (with the honest trade of a lightweight flywheel). Plus the one mod everybody puts on this list that does nothing on a street car: the rear wing. The numbers: on a 3500 lb, 300 hp car, removing 200 lb is worth roughly 17 hp in acceleration. Every 18°F out of the intake air is about 3% more air density. And drag power grows with the cube of speed, which is why aero only pays at speeds you never drive.
