#SkyKing: The Aviation Truth Hulu Left Out

In this video I take a close look at the aviation side of the Hulu documentary #SkyKing - specifically the ATC communications, the aircraft handling, and how the filmmakers chose to portray the events of August 10, 2018. There is a lot to appreciate here. The documentary does an excellent job incorporating real ATC audio from that day, and I want to give credit where it is due - the air traffic supervisor and controller who handled this situation performed exceptionally well under incredibly difficult and unprecedented circumstances. However, I have serious concerns about how the filmmakers chose to frame Beebo's actions. Stealing a commercial aircraft and performing a barrel roll over a populated area is not heroism - it was reckless and extraordinarily dangerous. As an aviation professional I feel it is important to call that out, even when it is an unpopular opinion.
