I Spoke To A Canadian Living In The US. He's Seeing What The Boycott Is Really Doing.

Have you ever wondered what's actually happening on the American side of the border now that so many Canadians have stopped visiting the United States? Well, I had the opportunity to catch up with G, one of my Canadian viewers who's been living and working in Washington State for years, and he's got some rather interesting observations to share with us. In this interview, G gives us some real boots on the ground feedback from Bellingham, Blaine, Whatcom County and Skagit County, including what he's seeing at places many British Columbians used to visit regularly, like Bellis Fair, Trader Joe's and Costco. But what makes this conversation particularly interesting is that G also manages a business in Washington State, and he's sharing actual sales figures showing how the Canadian boycott of US travel is affecting his coffee shop. We're talking about a 32% drop over Canadian Thanksgiving weekend compared with last year. We also discuss something that I think Canadians need to hear. What are everyday Americans actually saying about Canada? Do they understand why Canadians are avoiding America, or are they still treating the whole thing as some temporary inconvenience? And believe me, some of the comments G has been hearing, including jokes about Canada becoming the 51st state, are pretty damn disappointing. ----------------------------------- How To Support The Guard The Leaf Channel Buy Me A Coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/guardtheleaf Guard The Leaf Substack https://guardtheleaf.substack.com/ Guard The Leaf Merch Store https://shop.guardtheleaf.com ----------------------------------- e-7531 (Foreign affairs) https://www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/e...
