I GOT INTO THE BPN G1M ULTRA. NOW THE WORK BEGINS. ⚡️
Less than 24 hours after hearing my name called in the BPN G1M Ultra lottery, I was already out putting in the miles.
Today marks Day 1 of training for what will undoubtedly be one of the biggest challenges of my life.
20 miles. One day. The beginning of a seven-month journey.
Over the next 30 days, my focus is on building a strong foundation. I’m figuring out what kind of mileage my body can reasonably handle, what training cadence works best, and how to establish a sustainable routine that I can continue building on over the next seven months.
This isn’t about going all out on Day 1. It’s about figuring out how to show up consistently for the next 200+ days.
Today I headed out to The Course in Spokane Valley, Washington, to knock out 20 miles. One of the coolest parts? I had friends who wanted to come out and share the miles with me. Of the 20 miles I ran, only TWO were spent alone. I’m incredibly blessed to have people in my corner who are already showing up for this journey.
I even got some night training in, which is going to be a huge part of preparing for a backyard ultra.
On May 21, 2027, I’ll be stepping onto the Bare Ranch to compete in the BPN G1M Ultra. The goal? 200+ miles. One 4.167-mile loop, every hour, on the hour, for as long as I can keep going.
I don’t know exactly what the next seven months will look like, but I know I’m going to give this opportunity everything I’ve got.
I’m documenting the entire journey. The training, the setbacks, the lessons, the long nights, the crew, and everything in between.
Thank you for being here at the beginning. Subscribe and follow along as we find out just how far I can go.
