Kenny Jammin Jason on WGCI, recorded 4/16/1999 #classichousemusic

Househead memory: As a writer, I often attend open mics and other events in the arts community. At one such event, I met a friend of a friend who happened to be a performance artist involved in a project that her group was doing as a history of House Music presentation. This would have been in 2013 or 2014. Her group, Honey Pot Performance, put on a show at Mana Contemporary Chicago that turned into a house music set that lasted 3 or 4 hours that night. It was all 70s & 80s music ranging from disco to house to acid to punk to underground club and everything inbetween. It was one of the most hype and soulful experiences I've ever had. Mixes just don't sound like that anymore! Speaking of memories, THIS mix from Kenny Jammin Jason should stir up some good memories of your own.
