In this episode, we take a trip down the Rivers State in the South-South region of Nigeria. Located in the Niger Delta, they pride in variety of dishes. centered around seafood.
This story is about a buka - food joint, restaurant in Elekahia Port Harcourt that sells Bole (roasted plantain) and Fish.
BOLE is a staple in Rivers State as well as other cities in the southern parts of Nigeria, eaten as a snack or full meals.
BOLE is roasted plantain. the plantain can be either Ripe plantain or Unripe plantain and it is served with Grilled or Roasted fish that is sauced with pepper, uziza leaf, onions, palm oil.
This story shows the growth of the family business of Mama Caro aka Tonte Continental. They share how the business grew from little and it is now being passed on to its 3rd generation owner which is mama Caro's grand daughter.
